White line in the top when watching a fullscreen video

The issue happens when I use Edge with light theme on my MacBook Pro with Big Sur.

When I watch any video on full screen, a white line appears at the top. I have tried with other browsers such as Chrome or Firefox and the issue is not present. The issue stops when switching to a dark theme.

It's mind-boggling that it's been like 5 months and they still haven't solved the issue!!! THINKING ABOUT GOING BACK TO CHROME HERE, MICROSOFT.

I'm not sure which Reddit thread you're referring to, but if it's this one, then it's about the old (non-Chromium) Windows version, and it has nothing to do with the Mac version, which uses different code. The Mac issues only seem to have shown up in late 2020, around the time Big Sur (macOS 11) was released.

Having said that, it's seems kind of odd that @Microsoft is citing "a specific regression in Mac OS 11," since none of the other Mac browsers appear to be having an issue with it. And that includes other Mac browsers that are based on Chromium.
