White line in the top when watching a fullscreen video

The issue happens when I use Edge with light theme on my MacBook Pro with Big Sur.

When I watch any video on full screen, a white line appears at the top. I have tried with other browsers such as Chrome or Firefox and the issue is not present. The issue stops when switching to a dark theme.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that a white line appears when watching videos in Microsoft Edge with white theme. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.

    1.     Are you aware of any changes made to the computer?

    2.     What is the version of Microsoft Edge that is currently installed on your computer?

The first thing I would suggest you is to make sure that Microsoft Edge is updated. To do this, open Microsoft Edge click on Ellipsis (…) >> Settings >> About Microsoft Edge. This will automatically check for any update and install it.

We can also try resetting Microsoft Edge and check if that helps. To do this, refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Open Microsoft Edge.
    2. Click on the three dots (…) from the right top corner.
    3. Select Settingsfrom the drop down and click on Resetsettings.
    4. Select Restore settings to their default values.
    5. Relaunch Edge and check.

**Disclaimer:**This will reset your startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. You favorites, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Hi folks,

Thanks for the reports on this! The team is able to reproduce this in version 87 and is investigating. I'll circle back if any additional information would help us pinpoint the problem.

Thanks again for your reports, and stay tuned for updates!
