I see. You’re right, I have checked those updates are system-level and can’t be removed. Microsoft is aware of the issue, so no worries, a fix will likely come through a future cumulative update. For now, keep Windows fully updated through Settings > Windows Update to get the latest patches as soon as they’re released.
When trying to move a file into a folder where duplicate exists, in the skip or replace dialog box, the compare info for both files option doesn't work. when you click it, nothing happends
I'm using windows 11. I'm trying to move a file into a folder where a duplicate of this file exists.
In the "skip or replace files" dialog box, the "Compare info for both files" option doesn't work.
When you click it, nothing happens. I've found a reddit post that refers to 2 updates being the culprit (kb5065789 and kb5066835). It was suggested to uninstall these, however when I go to the uninstall updates setting, these 2 updates are not presented. I've confirmed that they were installed via the updates history screen.
- Are these updates to blame for the issue i'm having, if so, is there a fix?
- How can I uninstall these updates if they aren't in the list of updates to uninstall
Thanks in advance for any advise or solutions.

That feature should only reinstall system files and keep your installed apps and programs—of course, back up your current system first to be safe. If anyone tries this and it successfully fixes the problem, please tell me. If Microsoft hasn’t resolved the issue by next month, I’ll also consider reinstalling the system.
