My Windows 7 laptop cant connect to wifi being shared from Windows 10 mobile hotspot, does someone knows how i can fix this?
Upgrading to windows 10? or it cant be fixed because its about the laptop hardware?

try setting the IEEE 802.11 b / g Mode temporarily and see if it detects the mobile hotspot network.
If that doesn't change, reset Auto Mode. Go to the laptop Windows 7 manufacturer's website> download and driver area, select your laptop model, download and install the latest driver available for your Wi-Fi adapter model or download and install a different version of the driver from the current one in use, then try again.

I'm not sold on the idea that MS Windows has fixed their problems concerning wifi connections. I have researched their error code 651 and have determined that MS has failed to address this issue in their 7, 8, 10 releases and I am concerned that they are out of step with the demands of the wireless industry their inherent competition. They no longer acknowledge that the problem exists and have not issued a quick fix for it. I'm hesitant to try any of their current offerings and upgrades.
