Did you run those network commands on your Windows 7 laptop?

What band is set on the Windows 10 mobile hotspot? If you prefer, post a screenshot.

    Hi,

but previously your windows 7 laptop managed to connect to windows 10 mobile hotspot or never connected?

Go to the mobile hotspot settings and try to temporarily force the 2.4 GHz band, then check if the Windows 7 laptop detects the mobile hotspot network and if it can connect. If it still doesn't work, reset the mobile hotspot to its original value.

On the Windows 10 pc, go to Device Manager, expand network adapters, select the Wi-Fi adapter, then click on the Advanced tab, search for Wireless Mode in the list, expand the Value context menu on the right side, highlight or report the setting current or post a screenshot.

I dont know if my laptop was available before to connect to windows 10 wifi hotspot.

I tried with 2.4 ghz and still cant see the wifi, and after reseting the hotspot with netsh winsock reset

(found it on the web thats the way of reseting hotspot) still cant see network.

    Wireless mode:

    Auto

    IEEE 802.11 a

    IEEE 802.11 a/n

    IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac

    IEEE 802.11 b

    IEEE 802.11 b/g

But I meant to reset the hotspot for the bandwidth to its original value, "Any available", not via the netsh winsock reset command. Among the various Wireless Modes that you have posted, you must specify which setting is currently in use.
