Upgrade to 28.0

Online customers

  • New customers get Business Central version 28.0 automatically.
  • Existing customers are notified when update 28.0 is available. Admins can schedule update 28.0 to any date within the 5-month update period, which ends on August 31, 2026.

On-premises customers

Deployments using version 24 or earlier must upgrade to version 25 before upgrading to version 28. Learn more in Upgrading to Dynamics 365 Business Central 2026 release wave 1.
