To cancel your Microsoft 365 subscription and potentially receive a refund, follow these steps:

    1. Identify Your Billing Account Type: Determine if you have an MCA or MOSA billing account type, as the cancellation process may differ. You can find out what type of billing account you have by checking the relevant section in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
    2. Cancel Your Subscription:
      • Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
      • If you're using the Simplified view, select Subscriptions. If you're using the Dashboard view, go to Billing > Your products.
      • Select the subscription you want to cancel.
      • On the subscription details page, in the Subscription and payment settings section, select Cancel subscription.
      • Choose whether to cancel now or before the next renewal date, then select Next.
      • Provide a reason for cancellation and select Cancel now.
    3. Refund Eligibility:
      • If you cancel within seven days of your subscription start or renewal, you may receive a prorated credit or refund. If you cancel after this period, you will receive a prorated credit towards your next invoice.
    4. Save Your Data: Before canceling, ensure that you back up any important data, as access to your data will be lost once the cancellation is effective.

If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, consider contacting Microsoft support for help with your cancellation and refund request.

Which type of subscription is this? You mention the Admin center which indicates that you, or someone else in your organization, should access https://admin.microsoft.com .

If this is a personal account, you should be able to manage subscription products via https://account.microsoft.com/services. If you are not sure which account that may have been used, you can test your various @outlook.com and @hotmail.com addresses (some other, non-Microsoft addresses, such as @gmail.com, would also be a possibility).

The system just says that I can't cancel, as I already paid.

    We can’t cancel your subscription

    We can’t cancel your subscription

You have already paid for your Plus Annual - 169.99 Trial subscription. It will expire automatically on 12/2/2026.

Ok, if I can't cancel, fine, how do I get a refund
