Hey, yesterday (December 4, 2025), everything was working perfectly fine with Microsoft Edge. The Copilot chat in the sidebar panel used to greet me by my name (William), which meant I was properly logged in with my personal Microsoft account. But after I updated to the latest Edge version, now it just says a generic "Hey, nice to see you, what's new?" like it doesn't recognize me at all.

I want to know what's going on and how to fix it. When I try to paste a screenshot or image into the chat, it prompts me to "Sign in," but when I click the Sign In button, it's completely frozen, it doesn't redirect me anywhere, doesn't do anything, and just stays unresponsive. The "Maybe later" option works, but that's not helpful. I've tried restarting Edge, clearing cache, and logging out/in, but nothing changes. Any ideas on a quick fix, or if this is a known bug from the recent update? Thanks!

I don't even see my previous conversation, meaning that I am not logged on, because it won't let me

SO glad I'm not the only one. It started about two days ago. I'm signed into Edge but Copilot doesn't recognize me at all. What's funny is, on the Copilot app I downloaded from the Microsoft store, it remembers everything. Even on the Edge app on my iPhone, it still remembers my name and our past conversations. When I asked Copilot in the Edge browser what the issue was, it told me to "turn memory on" but I can't for the life of me find where to do that in settings. Hopefully this is just a bug that will be fixed soon!

Same here. It is not working today (9th of December). Neither in edge (website or sidebar) nor in chrome.
