In the new Outlook desktop app for Macs, suggestive or predictive text when emailing is the default. How do we turn this off?

All of the community responses to point to a great box in the upper right corner. There is no gear box. In Settings, there is no option to shut off these features even when searching by "suggestive" or "predictive" text, or in the Composing tab.

There are many posts about people's frustration with this tool. Can you please provide instructions for disabling this feature.

    Hi @Prof

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

May I ask which Outlook version are you using (16.102, 16.101, ...)?

I tested on my own device (version 16.102.3), to turn off text prediction, choose Edit > Spelling and Grammar > Uncheck Correct Spelling Automatically and Show Text Predictions.

    I hope this information helps.
