Unable to verify student status because my college does not provide a school email ID

Hello Microsoft team,

I am a student from India, and I am trying to verify my academic status for Microsoft student benefits (such as Azure for Students / Student Ambassador / Learn for Students).

However, my college does not provide a school email ID. The verification form requires a school-provided email address, so I am unable to continue.

Please guide me on how to complete the verification process manually. I can provide proof of enrollment such as my student ID card, Fees receipt.
Thank you for your help!

    Hello @KARTHICK R,

Good day! Thank you for posting your valuable question on Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding you need to access Microsoft Students benefits, here are what I've found after my research:

    1. Azure for Students

According to Microsoft’s official policy for Azure for Students, verification is typically completed using a school-issued email address from an accredited institution. Unfortunately, manual verification using a student ID or fee receipt is not listed in the guidance for Azure for Students.

    For your reference:

If your college does not provide a school email, here are some recommended alternatives:

    GitHub Student Developer Pack

GitHub Education allows students to verify their status using alternative proof, such as a student ID card or an enrollment letter. After successful verification, you can redeem an Azure activation code from GitHub’s offers page. You can refer to a Microsoft Q&A thread with answer accepted by the question author:  i don't have school mail id but i want to redeem azure student - Microsoft Q&A

    Azure for Students Starter

This program does not require a school email or credit card and provides limited services for learning purposes. For your information, see:  Microsoft Azure for Students Starter Offer | Microsoft Azure

    2.Microsoft Learn for Students

For learning content: No school email required, you can sign in with a personal Microsoft account and select “Student” in your profile.

For certification discounts: You must verify academic status in your Learn profile (usually via school email or other accepted proof).

    For your information, please see:

    3.Student Ambassadors Program

A free global program for students passionate about technology. It helps you build skills, lead communities, and access exclusive benefits like Azure credits, Visual Studio, LinkedIn Learning, and mentorship.

If you want to apply this program:

    1. Create a Microsoft Learn profile and complete at least one learning path.
    2. Prepare your application with:
      • Learn profile URL
      • Social media links
      • A short video introducing yourself and your tech interests
    3. Submit your application at Become a Student Ambassador

    For your information, please check:

Per your request to complete the verification process, please contact your school’s IT administrator or Microsoft 365 administrator to check if they can assist you.

    • If your school cannot provide a school ID email address, ask the admin to reach out to Microsoft Support to confirm whether alternative verification methods are accepted. For instructions on creating a support ticket, your admin can follow:  Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

I hope this information is helpful. If you encounter any problem or need any further assistance, please feel free to reply. I'm here and happy to help!
