I was recently moved to copilot 365 and this is happening.
The textbox moves to the top and I can no longer see the conversation.
Same case for the desktop app:

I found a partial solution using the developer options on chrome:
hit CTRL+SHIFT+C > Click on the void space beneath the chatbox> hit DEL to delete > restore using CTRL+Z
This would reset the page layout to a sensible and usable form. Unfortunately, if you refresh the page it will happen again.

Using the Desktop App, a temporary solution for me is to type in something (Usually gibberish like "asdfasdf") then hit the "Stop" button. The window Resizes and it's readable. Not ideal but it works if you have an absolute need for that chat.

Yes I have been typing "ignore" then making sure to hit stop before the response finishes. This does work to bring the chatbox down, but the length of the chat is reduced in half pretty much.
Yeah this is happening to me, both in the browser and on the app. I keep doing workarounds, but it is really crushing my productivity to the point where I might have to use something else until this gets fixed. Ive tried all the suggestions on various postings Ive found about this.

Our work also has this issue across multiple staff.
Does Microsoft have any fixes yet?
Fully closing the desktop app and reopening, then going back to a previous conversation is unacceptable. It will then move the contents up again after it generates the next response.
