Pasword manager not filling in app passwords

I cannot get passwords filled in on Android in apps despite selecting it as the default android autofill service. It worked with Authenticator. Is this supported?

auto on [Password field] it used to show - The Pop-up to save it. Fixed by
open - Edge passwords reenter all my data & bingo works ok now

However, the current issue is that auto-fill does not work in any apps even after setting it up in Edge.
This issue began about a week ago, and all other companies' auto-fill services are functioning normally.

Veticia 0 Reputation points2025-10-11T21:10:22.0466667+00:00 I tried Edge Canary 143.0.3610.0 and it seems to be working again. However it looks like the format of saved password changed as it asked me for passwords that are already saved (and saving them as a new field in passwords tab). After saving it edge canary started filling the passwords again. However I had to click on the password and not the login field as was the usual before.

2025-10-11T21:22:13.49+00:00 One weird behaviour thou. Discord wants to autocomplete my password in the chat text field. Thankfully it only fills login/email instead of password. And this time it does that without asking for saving password first.
