Digital content can be retrieved from a file, a database, a distribution stream, a live feed, or other source. You can use a data source plug-in in conjunction with an appropriate media parser plug-in to read content from the data source. Windows Media Services includes the following plug-ins to read from a network, a file, or an encoder.
