The Best Practices Analyzer tool for Team Foundation Server checks that the application-tier and data-tier servers are joined to a domain. For a dual-server deployment, both servers must be joined to a domain.
An error appears if one of the servers listed on the Start a Scan page is not connected to a domain.
To resolve this issue
- Check the domain connection of the servers on which Team Foundation Server is installed or will be installed. For information about how to join a domain, see "How to change a computer name, join a domain, and add a computer description in Windows XP or in Windows Server 2003" on the Microsoft Web site.
