SetReportParameter Method of the IFPCRdlReportParameterInstance Interface

The SetReportParameter method sets the names of the Report Definition Language (RDL) report parameter, the RDL report definition, and the RDL report category referenced by the instance.

  [in]  BSTR RdlName,
  [in]  BSTR ParameterName
);

Parameters

  • CategoryName
    Required. BSTR that specifies the name of the RDL report category to be referenced by the instance.

  • RdlName
    Required. BSTR that specifies the name of the RDL report definition to be referenced by the instance.

  • ParameterName
    Required. BSTR that specifies the name of the RDL report parameter to be referenced by the instance.

Return Value

This method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.

Parameters

  • CategoryName
    Required. String that specifies the name of the RDL report category to be referenced by the instance.

  • RdlName
    Required. String that specifies the name of the RDL report definition to be referenced by the instance.

  • ParameterName
    Required. String that specifies the name of the RDL report parameter to be referenced by the instance.

Return Value

This method has no return values. If the call is unsuccessful, an error is raised that can be intercepted by using an error handler.

Remarks

This method sets the objects that are referenced in the RdlReportCategory, RdlReportDefinition, and RdlReportParameter properties of the combined reference.
