HashAlgorithmId Property of the IFPCCookieCryptoConfiguration Interface

The HashAlgorithmId property gets or sets the identifier of the algorithm used for cookie hashing.

Parameters

lHashAlgorithmId
A 32-bit integer that specifies the identifier of the algorithm used for cookie hashing.
plHashAlgorithmId
Pointer to a 32-bit integer that is set on return to the identifier of the algorithm used for cookie hashing.

Return Value

These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.

A 32-bit integer that specifies the identifier of the algorithm used for cookie hashing.

Remarks

This property is read/write. The default value is the hexadecimal number 800C, which is the identifier of Secure Hash Algorithm 256 (SHA-256). This algorithm produces a 256-bit hash.

The ALG_ID data type specifies an algorithm identifier. Values of this data type are passed to most of the functions in the CryptoAPI. For the identifier values used for specific algorithms , see ALG_ID.
