This article provides detailed information on licensing for Microsoft Dragon Copilot, including the types of licenses available, purchase options, and how to view licenses across your organization. For more information, see the Microsoft Dragon Copilot Licensing Guide.
Types of Dragon Copilot licenses
Dragon Copilot offers the following license options:

This license type is recommended for customers who want to enable Dragon Copilot for nursing staff (including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and PCTs) using flowsheet-based workflows. |

Purchase Dragon Copilot licenses
Identify the type of billing account you have in Microsoft 365:
If you have a Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) or Microsoft Customer Agreement for Enterprise (MCA-E), contact your Microsoft representative to purchase licenses. This purchasing channel is available for nursing and physician licenses.
If you're a customer working with a certified Microsoft partner (also known as a Cloud Solution Provider or CSP), contact your partner to purchase and manage your licenses. This purchasing channel is only available for physician licenses.
Once the purchase is complete, you can start administering your licenses.
Note
If your organization is a first-time Microsoft 365 customer, either your partner or you and your Microsoft representative will set up your free Microsoft 365 subscription and free Entra account. If your organization is an existing Microsoft 365 customer, you might have multiple subscriptions and Entra tenants. Work with your Microsoft representative to set up your organization in Microsoft 365.
License administration
To enable your licenses and assign them to specific users, you need a Global administrator or Billing administrator role. For partners, you need delegated administrator access. For more information, see Buy or remove licenses for a Microsoft business subscription.
