Business value
In scenarios where third-party HTTP endpoints require cookie customization, you can now include this customization in Business Central apps and extensions.
Feature details
The HttpClient data type now officially supports cookies. With this support, AL developers can efficiently send and receive cookies when they send HTTP requests.
The update introduces a new Cookie data type along with several AL interfaces for handling cookies:
UseResponseCookiesAL interface for the HttpClient data type that enables or disables caching for server cookies.Cookiedata type that represents a cookie object.- AL interfaces to get cookies from an
HttpResponseMessage. - AL interfaces to get, add, and remove cookies from an
HttpRequestMessage.
Developers can choose to automatically reuse response cookies, handle cookies manually, or use a mix of both approaches.
