New Windows 2019 server, how to install Microsoft Edge browser ? IE does not work anymore

IE 11 is still supported on Windows Server 2019. You need to enable download and scripting in Internet Options then you can download the file in IE 11. Please follow the steps below:

1. Open Internet options in IE 11.
2. Go to Security tab.
3. Under Internet zone, click Custom level.
   
4. Scroll down and enable File download and Active scripting.
   
5. Click OK to save the settings.
6. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/download, then you can download Edge browser.

You need to download Microsoft Edge for business.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/download

If your server doesn't allow download, you could use an another machine.

Does anyone else find it amusing that Google Chrome installs without all the extra hurdles and yet the "improved" Microsoft Broswer requires all the extra steps to install? Microsoft...here is an idea. Get Good.

No, IE11 stopped functioning totally and I am unable to download anything.

I cannot even login to Gmail or Yahoo mail from the browser.

New machine will have the same problem as it comes with default IE11.
