Edge & Bing will not open

These issues that you're having are most likely to be related to each other and not separate problem. But I'll give you a step for each issue so that if possible we can fix it one by one.

For the error message that you are encountering in Edge and Bing. Just to be sure are you encountering the same error message on another browser? Also, try performing a Flush DNS Cache on your PC. After completing the DNS flush restart your Browser and check if the same issue still persists. If you are not on a PC let me know.

Here's how to perform a Flush DNS Cache:

1. Open Command Prompt (Admin)
2. Run:
   ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew

For the 'No Sound' issue, try running Audio Troubleshooter. After that let me know what result you see after the troubleshooter finishes.

Here's how to run Audio Troubleshooter:

1. Go to Settings > System > Sound
2. Click Troubleshoot

For the issue regarding you not being able to install Microsoft Office 365 are you encountering any error code or message when you're trying to download it and it would also help if you can tell me what exactly happens when you try to download it. Thank you!

Follow these steps in order on Windows 11 to fix Edge not opening, Bing errors, and related issues:

1. Restart the PC

• Select Start > Power > Restart.
• A running process can block Edge and affect sound or installers.

2. Check network and website access

• Try opening the same sites in another browser (for example, Chrome or Firefox).
  • If other browsers also fail, restart modem/router and test again.
  • If only Edge fails, continue with the next steps.

3. Make sure Edge is up to date

• Open Edge (if it opens at all).
• Select Settings and more (three dots) > Settings > About Microsoft Edge.
• Apply any available update and restart Edge.

4. Clear Edge browsing data and cache If Edge opens:

• Select Settings and more > History > Open history page.
• Select Delete browsing data.
• Set Time range to All time.
• First try clearing:
  • Browsing history
  • Cached images and files
• Select Clear now.
• If problems persist, repeat and select all boxes (clear all browsing data), then Clear now.

5. Check security software and malware

• Run a full scan with Windows Security (see the "Run a scan manually" section of Stay protected with Windows Security).
• If using third‑party security software (for example, Norton, McAfee), open that app and check for updates; install any security updates.

6. Repair Microsoft Edge

• Close Edge completely for all users.
• Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
• Find Microsoft Edge in the list.
• Select Modify.
• When prompted Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?, select Yes.
• Ensure the PC is connected to the internet, then select Repair.
• Edge data and settings should remain intact.

7. Reinstall Microsoft Edge (if repair does not help)

• Open any working browser.
• Go to https://www.microsoft.com/edge.
• Download and reinstall Microsoft Edge.
• Restart the PC after installation.

8. Fix “CAN'T READ THIS PAGE / CHECK FOR TYPO IN BROWSER” After repair/reinstall:

• Confirm the address is typed correctly.
• Try the same page in another browser to verify the site is working.
• If the site fails in all browsers, it may be a network or website issue; restart modem/router and, if needed, contact the site owner.

9. Sound and Office 365

• Once Edge and general browsing are working, retry the Microsoft 365 installation using the official installer in a working browser.
• For sound issues, use Windows Settings > System > Sound to check output device and volume, then test again after the PC restart and Edge repair.

If Edge still will not start after repair and reinstall, use another browser temporarily for Microsoft 365 installation and consider contacting Microsoft support for deeper OS-level troubleshooting.
