How to activate Windows XP after exchange hardware

Activation phone number is NOT WORK. Where i get new one?

Windows XP can still be activated after a hardware change, but only by using the built‑in activation wizard and the automated phone system. Assisted support with a live agent for XP activation is no longer available.

To activate Windows XP after hardware change by phone:

1. Open the activation wizard:
   • Click Start > Computer.
   • Click System properties on the toolbar.
   • In the Windows activation section, click Click here to activate Windows now.
2. Choose phone activation:
   • Click Show me other ways to Activate.
   • Click Use the automated phone system.
3. Follow the on‑screen instructions:
   • The wizard displays the correct regional phone number for the Microsoft Product Activation Center and an installation ID.
   • Call the number shown and follow the automated prompts to enter the installation ID and receive a confirmation ID.
   • Enter the confirmation ID back into the wizard to complete activation.

Notes specific to Windows XP and legacy products:

• Product activation telephone numbers are not published in a static list; the Product Activation Wizard must be used so that the correct regional number is provided.
• For Windows XP and Windows Vista, assisted support with a live agent is no longer available; only online or automated telephone activation is supported.
• Activation is required for legitimate use; it verifies that the license has not been used on more devices than allowed. Activation itself does not require separate “registration,” and the information collected is not used to personally identify the user.
• A license may need to be reactivated after significant hardware changes (such as motherboard or hard drive replacement), which is expected behavior.

If online activation fails after the hardware change, use the automated phone method as described above.
