ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK on Microsoft Learn – Possible CDN/IP routing issue

I am encountering an issue accessing Microsoft Learn pages.

Error:

ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK

Details:

  • Page partially loads but fails to render content
  • Occurs across all browsers (Brave, Chrome, Edge)
  • Also occurs in Incognito mode
  • Cache cleared, extensions disabled
  • DNS changed (Google and Cloudflare)
  • Network reset performed

Observation:

  • Other users can access the same pages without issues
  • Microsoft Technical Support indicated this is likely related to CDN routing or edge node behavior

Request:

Could someone from the Microsoft Learn/platform team investigate whether my IP or region is being routed to a faulty CDN edge node?

I can provide my public IP if required.Screenshot 2026-04-09 103316

ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK is typically because your account has been blocked by Pearson Vue which normally happens because of multiple failed payments. You need to contact Pearson Vue support using the link on https://aka.ms/CertificationSupport to get the block lifted.

I am not accessing any certification or exam-related pages.

The error occurs while browsing general Microsoft Learn documentation and even search pages.

    Example URL:

    dori-uw-1.kuma-moon.com/en-us/search

So this does not appear to be related to Pearson VUE.

Could this be a platform or CDN routing issue affecting certain requests?

The ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK code is not caused by a faulty CDN edge node. It indicates that the Pearson VUE exam-scheduling system has blocked the account, typically after multiple failed payment attempts. This same error string can appear in the URL when trying to schedule or access certification/exam-related flows from Microsoft Learn.

Because this is an account-level block on the Pearson VUE side, local troubleshooting (browsers, DNS, cache, network resets, or IP changes) will not resolve it. The block must be removed by Pearson VUE support.

    Recommended next step:

    1. Go to the Certification Support page at https://aka.ms/CertificationSupport.
    2. Use the Pearson VUE support/contact option listed there.
    3. Provide the ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK information and ask them to review and lift the block on the account.

Once Pearson VUE removes the block, the affected Learn/exam pages should load and function normally again.
