Hi! Uninstall any apps related to WPS, and then reinstall Microsoft 365.

    1. Open Windows Settings (Windows + I) > Apps > Installed Apps > Uninstall any product named WPS or WPS Office (Click ●●● > Uninstall).

Also uninstall any apps named Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office.

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services > Sign in with your Microsoft account > Expand Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office > Install Desktop apps... > Wait for the app to download and install.
    3. Open Word or Excel, and sign in with your Microsoft account to validate your license.

To remove WPS Office that is bundled or “stuck” alongside Microsoft Office, try these approaches in order:

    1. Uninstall via Settings / Control Panel
      • Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps (or Control Panel > Programs and Features).
      • Look for any entries named WPS Office, Kingsoft Office, or similar.
      • Select it and choose Uninstall and follow the prompts.
    2. Use the program’s built‑in uninstaller (if it does not appear in Apps/Programs)
      • Open File Explorer and go to:
        • C:\Program Files and (on 64‑bit systems) C:\Program Files (x86).
      • Look for a folder named WPS Office, Kingsoft, or the name of the WPS suite that is installed.
      • Open that folder and look for an uninstall file such as uninst.exe, uninstall.exe, or Uninstall WPS Office.
      • Run that file and follow the instructions to remove WPS.
      • Do not delete the folder manually if there is no uninstall file, because deleting program folders directly can cause Windows or other programs to malfunction.
    3. Check for deceptive or unwanted software behavior If WPS came from a shady installer or behaves like adware, also:
      • Run a full scan with Windows Security and any reputable antivirus/anti‑malware already installed.
      • If the security software flags WPS or related components, follow its instructions to quarantine or remove them.
    4. If removal still fails
      • Boot into Safe Mode and repeat steps 1 and 2.
      • If WPS still cannot be removed and is causing system issues, consider using an automated removal tool from the Microsoft Safety & Security Center as described in the references, or performing a Windows Reset this PC while keeping personal files.
