I've had my developer tenant since June of 2023. I started getting this bar at the top of every page in my SharePoint instance. So far, I have worked through 2 tickets created through the admin center with different support reps at Microsoft but none of the support tickets get routed to anyone with anything to do with the developer tenants. My last-ditch effort is to post in here and ask the question point blank. Am I one of the last individuals that has a free developer tenant? If so, is that why my tenant get flag for deactivation, to force me out?

If not, I'd love to get a clear explanation as to what happened all of the sudden. My usage patterns have not changed at all since getting the tenant.User's image

    Hi @Troy Palacino

Good day, and I appreciate the detailed description of your issue.

First, I’d like to clarify that this is a user‑to‑user support forum. The moderators participating here do not have access to Microsoft’s backend systems, nor are we able to directly intervene in product behavior or account‑level actions. Our role is limited to offering technical guidance and sharing best‑practice recommendations based on reported issues and similar scenarios.

I truly understand how frustrating this situation must be, especially having your E5 tenant flagged under the Acceptable Use Policy and not receiving assistance through your support ticket.

You may want to consider backing up any important data to a new tenant as a precaution, while access is still available in read-only mode. In parallel, it may also be helpful to review the Microsoft Acceptable Use Policy here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/microsoft-365/legal/docid12 to double-check whether any activity might have unintentionally violated one of the terms. If you do identify anything that could be a concern, removing or stopping that activity may help when Microsoft reviews the case.

Also, based on the your description, the block appears to apply specifically to SharePoint and OneDrive, not the entire tenant. Because of that, it’s possible that the status shown in the Microsoft 365 Developer Program dashboard does not fully reflect the service-level restriction currently in place.

Additionally, there is one possible way you could try to reach the Microsoft Developer Program support team, which is through the “Report errors” option located at the bottom of the Developer Program dashboard. Using this option allows you to send a message directly to the Microsoft Developer Program support team for further review.

     Report errors

You could give this a try and let me know if it helps you connect with the Developer support team via email.

If you have any additional concerns, feel free to comment below. I would be more than happy to assist.
