Installing or updating Microsoft Edge on Windows 11
I hope the steps I provided were helpful. At this point, I will proceed with releasing your question. Thank you for reaching out to us today.
Hi Bill Evans, Thanks for posting here in Microsoft Community, I understand that after updating Edge, you can’t see Chrome or your personal settings.
Sorry, I just want to clarify when you mention that you can’t see Chrome, do you mean that the Google Chrome application itself is not visible or accessible on your device? And when you say that you can’t see your personal settings, are you referring to the settings within the Microsoft Edge browser? Lastly, when you ask how to go back to using Chrome, are you looking for steps on how to set Google Chrome as your default browser again?
Hoping to hear from you soon.
To go back to using Chrome and restore a more familiar Edge experience, do the following:
.htm, .html, HTTP, HTTPS), change the default from Microsoft Edge to Google Chrome.edge://settings or select Settings and more (⋯) > Settings > Appearance. This lets Chrome handle links again, while Edge (if used) looks closer to how it did before the update.
