Use the following steps to fix issues downloading Minecraft Launcher from Microsoft Store/Xbox on Windows 11:

1. Confirm Microsoft account sign-in
   • Make sure the same Microsoft account that purchased Minecraft is signed in on Windows and in Microsoft Store/Xbox.
   • If sign-in problems appear, run the Microsoft account sign-in helper at https://aka.ms/sign-in-helper to detect and fix account issues.
2. Check Microsoft Store and app status
   • Open Microsoft Store → Library and see if Minecraft Launcher shows with a Download/Install button.
   • If the Store or apps are stuck or not downloading, run the Windows apps troubleshooter as suggested in the Store support article.
3. Repair Microsoft Store download issues
   • If apps from Microsoft Store are not downloading or updating, follow these steps from the Store guidance:
     • Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Microsoft Store → Advanced options → Reset.
     • Restart the PC and try downloading Minecraft Launcher again.
   • If downloads remain stuck at 0% or do not start, check the “Microsoft Store Install Service” in services.msc and ensure it is set to Automatic and running, then restart it.
4. Ensure Gaming Services and Xbox app are healthy
   • If the download is tied to Gaming Services/Xbox:
     • Launch PowerShell as administrator and run:
       • get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

5. Reinstall Microsoft Store and related apps if they are broken
   • If Store/Xbox/Minecraft Launcher are missing from “Apps & features” or buttons in Store are blank, follow the pattern from the Q&A fix:
     • Use PowerShell as administrator to remove and then reinstall Microsoft Store and Xbox-related apps (including Gaming Services), then reopen Microsoft Store and install Minecraft Launcher again.

If the issue is specifically that sign-in fails (error when starting the download due to account), run the Microsoft account sign-in helper and follow its instructions, then retry the download from Microsoft Store → Library.
