    Welcome Lauraine Hebert,

I understand how frustrating it can be when you’re unable to send emails and they are being returned with a postmaster refusal error, while receiving emails still works.

In addition to the previous suggestions, you could also explore these options

Step 1: Try sending an email using Outlook on the web by signing in at https://outlook.live.com

Step 2: Remove and re-add the email account on the iPad

    • Go to Settings > Accounts
    • Remove the affected account, restart the iPad, then add the account again

Step 3: Make sure the iPad date and time are set automatically

    • Go to Settings > General > Date & Time
    • Turn on Set Automatically

Step 4: Update or reinstall the mail app

    • Open App Store
    • Search for Outlook (if using Outlook app)
    • Update the app if an update is available
    • If already updated, uninstall the app, restart the device, then reinstall it

I hope this information helps resolve your issue. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me again in this thread.

    Hi Lauraine Hebert,

Good day. Try to reset your outgoing settings (SMTP). This could almost caused by incorrect or corrupted outgoing server settings. Here are the steps:

    1. On your iPad go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > Your Email Account.
    2. Tap Account > SMTP (Outgoing Mail Server).
    3. Select your Primary Server.
    4. Turn OFF the server, then turn it back ON and re-enter: -Host Name (SMTP) – from your email provider. -Username – your full email address. -Password – retype it. -Make sure: Use SSL = ON Authentication = Password Port = 587 (or 465 if required)
    5. Save > Restart Mail app > Try sending again.

    I hope this works.

    Regards,
    Jhun
