It deleted about 5 years of my artwork, pictures of my dead brother, and unreplaceable pictures of family. I've done everything i can to try to get them back, they are no where on the site, as it only has stuff from 2024 for some reason, and they aren't in the recycle bin on there. Im devastated and dont even know if anything can be done at this point. Ive tried everything i can think of and found on the web and they are just gone.

    Hi,

Did you recently sign in to a new device or see a message about OneDrive backup turning on?

The only reliable recovery steps now are to check OneDrive on the web for both the Recycle Bin and Second-stage Recycle Bin, then use “Restore your OneDrive” from Settings to roll back to a date before the files disappeared, and confirm you are signed into the correct account since files sometimes show under a different account after sync changes.

If the files are not in either recycle bin and restore has no earlier point, then the service no longer has a copy and recovery is not possible through OneDrive.
