To mark correct answers in Microsoft Forms, the form must be a quiz, and the question type must support scoring.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Go to https://forms.office.com/ and sign in.
    2. Select New Quiz (not “New Form”). This enables quiz features like correct answers and points.
    3. Enter a quiz name and, if shown, close the Draft with Copilot box by selecting the X.
    4. Select Quick start with and choose a question type that supports correct answers, such as Choice.
    5. Type the question text.
    6. Add answer options using Add option as needed.
    7. For Choice questions, mark the correct answer(s):
      • Select the Correct Answer check mark next to the correct option(s).
    8. (Optional) In the Points box, enter how many points the question is worth.
    9. Repeat for other questions.

    For math questions:

    1. In a quiz, add a Choice question.
    2. Turn on the Math option for that question.
    3. Enter the question and equation.
    4. Enter answer selections, then choose the correct one(s) using the Correct Answer check mark.

If the Correct Answer check mark is not visible, verify that:

    • The form was created with New Quiz, not New Form.
    • The question type is Choice (or another quiz-supported type), not plain Text without scoring.
