I get this error trying to deploy a package after installing VS2026 March 2026 release Version 18.4.2. All though it does deploy the error pops up after every step during deployment. I tried a repair, I tried removing the ComponentModelCache folder and restarting with no success.

I'm just tagging myself on this because I have the same problem, and I don't really have the option to revert back to visual studio 2022. I build this solution in visual studio 2026 and it never had any problems until I did the march 2026 update. I'm ok with it throwing the error because it deploys successfully. It's just annoying that it's triggered after each step during deployment.
Tagging myself as I also have the same problem since the last VS2022 update, so it's not isolated to 2026. I think I read somewhere that MS is dropping all support for SSIS soon as well. I don't what else we're supposed to use after that as my experience with MS Fabric hasn't been great despite taking the DP-700 course.
Has anybody managed to fix this yet?
This is still an issue, even after another couple of feature updates to VS2022. It'll deploy, but shows the error on every step of the wizard / process.
I'm still trying to find out what is going to happen when MS drops support for SSIS - what is taking its place?

I would recommend reverting back to VS2022.
VS2026 is too raw, more precisely its SQL Server Integration Service extension.
You can deploy the built .ispac outside Visual Studio using the Integration Services Deployment Wizard. This avoids the VS shell and the extension entirely:
.ispac (from VS: Build → Build or Rebuild).ISDeploymentWizard.exe (typically under C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\16x\DTS\Binn\ or c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 22\Release\Common7\IDE\CommonExtensions\Microsoft\SSIS\170\Binn\) and point it at your .ispac.
Yes I can do this, just really wanted to post this so MS was aware there is an issue, the prior version works and this version deploys with no issues but throws the error every step of the way.
