I'm facing an issue with Microsoft Teams (free version) where messages are not received in real time on both desktop app and web. New messages only appear after refreshing or reopening the application. I have already cleared cache, app data, and tried all basic fixes it works temporarily but the issue returns again. This problem does not occur with paid (Microsoft 365) accounts. Has anyone found a permanent fix? i have 400 users and they are on same network this issue randomly happens again and again with different users.

Hi, does this happen only on your network, or also when users try a different network like mobile data?

This behavior usually relates to network or service connection limits with the free version. Check your network settings to allow persistent connections for Teams, including WebSocket and HTTPS traffic on ports 80 and 443, and disable any proxy inspection, firewall filtering, or VPN that may interrupt background sync. Also ensure Teams is allowed to run in the background and not restricted by power or data saving policies in Windows.
