AADSTS5000224 indicates that the resource (tenant) being accessed is not available and Microsoft Entra ID is returning:
NotAllowedTenantBlockedTenantFraud - We are sorry, this resource is not available. If you are seeing this message by mistake, please contact Microsoft support.
This means the tenant has been blocked/deauthenticated on the Microsoft side and is no longer available for normal sign-in. This is not something that can be fixed from the portal or by changing local settings.
Actionable steps:
- Try a clean sign-in
- Sign out of all Microsoft accounts in the browser.
- Clear site data/cookies for Microsoft/Entra sign-in pages.
- Try again in a private/incognito window.
- If the error persists with the same AADSTS5000224 code, proceed to step 2.
- Escalate to Microsoft support
- Because the error explicitly states the resource is not available and references contacting Microsoft support, this must be handled by Microsoft.
- Provide support with:
- The full error text including
AADSTS5000224. - Trace ID, Correlation ID, and Timestamp from the error page.
- The tenant ID or tenant domain you are trying to access.
- The full error text including
- If another Global Administrator exists in the tenant, that admin should open a support ticket from the Microsoft 365 or Azure portal.
- If there is no other admin or no one can access the tenant portals, use the regional Microsoft support phone numbers and request escalation to the Data Protection / Tenant Recovery team, who can verify ownership and investigate why the tenant was deauthenticated.
If the tenant has been permanently deauthenticated or closed by Microsoft, only Microsoft support can confirm status and possible recovery options.
