Having trouble signing in for Free Microsoft Teams today?

Try these steps to restore access to Microsoft Teams Free:

1. Check if Teams is asking to sign in again
   If a banner appears saying access is challenged or sign-in is required, select the banner or the Sign in button and complete sign-in (including any multi-factor authentication).
2. Open the sign-in window from the system tray (desktop)
   If no banner is visible, look in the system tray (near the clock). If there is a Teams icon with a red dot or exclamation mark, select it to open the sign-in window and enter credentials again.
3. Restart the Teams app
   Quit Teams completely (right-click the Teams icon in the system tray and select Quit), then reopen Teams and sign in when prompted.
4. Verify network/VPN
   Ensure the device is connected to the network required for Teams. If a VPN is required, connect to it before starting Teams. Avoid switching between networks (for example, office Wi‑Fi to public Wi‑Fi) without signing out of Teams first.
5. Update Teams Free
   In the app, select the profile picture and choose Check for updates to make sure the latest version is installed.
