Accessing Microsoft Teams using organizational or personal credentials
Hi @Edivania Aquino,
Good day and thank you for outlining your concern so clearly.
The message you’re seeing indicates that your work account is being prompted to complete security verification, most commonly for setting up multi‑factor authentication (MFA), or adding security information (phone number, authenticator app, or backup email)
This is a standard Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) security requirement and is usually enforced by your organization’s IT policies. The “8 days remaining” notice means verification will become mandatory after that period, and sign‑in may be blocked if it’s not completed.
Please follow these steps using your work account (not a personal Microsoft account):
- Sign in with your company email address
- When you see the prompt below please click next:
- They will ask you to set up another method. Choose add sign in method:
- Save your changes and sign out
- Sign back in to confirm the setup is complete
Once this is done, the warning message should no longer appear.
More information about it at: Verifying your identity when signing in - Microsoft Support
Because your account is company‑managed, Microsoft community moderators like me cannot override or bypass the security requirement.
If you’re unable to access the security‑info page, no longer have access to the required phone number or email address, or the setup process fails or keeps looping, you’ll need to contact your company's IT or internal support team for assistance. Ask them to reset your security verification or temporarily disable and re‑enroll multi‑factor authentication (MFA) for your account, as only your organization’s administrators have the permissions required to make these changes.
You can provide them this article for more guidance: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID |…
I hope this provides enough clarity and helps you stay inform with your current situation.
