    Hello HOJNACKI, ANDY,

The information populated here is the result of 2 actions,

    1. Hardware Inventory information from clients
    2. Management insights evaluation on MCM Server

If either of these has an issue, it could incorrectly report as in your case. Few things to check,

    1. Check if the device is reporting active and healthy on MCM
    2. Check if the hardware inventory for this device is latest from the MCM console, if not check if there are issues related to hardware inventory being collected and updated
    3. Try manually evaluating the insight and check SMS_DataEngine.log. Refer to: Management insights - Configuration Manager | Microsoft Learn

    Hope this helps!

But the OS that is on the machines is NOT out of support. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 (version 21H2) is supported until January 13, 2032.

that is what is installed on those machines.

Configuration Manager is warning because those clients are running a Windows 10 version that has reached end of service, even though the OS itself is still generally supported.

According to the Windows 10 end-of-service statement, all listed Windows 10 versions (including 21H2) eventually reach end of service and stop receiving monthly security and quality updates. When a specific release is out of service, devices on that release are considered unsupported from a servicing perspective, and management tools surface alerts like the one shown.

To resolve the notification in Configuration Manager, move those clients to a supported, in-service release:

    1. Upgrade the affected devices to a supported Windows version (for example, Windows 11 if the hardware meets requirements). See the guidance under “Can I upgrade to Windows 11” and “Download Windows 11” in the end-of-service statement.
    2. If remaining on Windows 10 is required, enroll eligible devices in the Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU) program so they continue to receive critical security updates after servicing ends. This keeps them protected even though the base version is out of service.
    3. After upgrading or enabling ESU and confirming that devices are receiving current security updates, re-evaluate in Configuration Manager; the unsupported-version notification should clear once clients report a supported servicing state.

Note that after October 14, 2025, Windows 10 as a product no longer receives free security updates, so upgrading to Windows 11 or using ESU is required to remain supported.
