A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
On macOS, OneDrive can appear as “open” (running) even when no window is visible. To check and fix this:
- Look for the OneDrive cloud icon in the top-right menu bar (near the clock). If it is there, OneDrive is running.
- Click the cloud icon and select Open folder to show the OneDrive folder in Finder.
- If the icon is not there, open OneDrive from Applications. Sign in if prompted.
- If OneDrive still does not show correctly or does not sync, follow the macOS troubleshooting steps in Fix OneDrive sync problems on Mac, including:
- Confirming sign-in with the correct account.
- Checking for OneDrive error icons or messages.
- Using the guidance under More fixes for recent OneDrive issues.
