edge://settings/privacy/clearBrowsingData by removing the Passwords from the list of data types that can be cleared. This update addresses feedback that users were unintentionally deleting their saved passwords when clearing their browsing history, leading to confusion and sign‑in issues. Users can continue to manage, edit, or delete passwords directly from edge://settings/autofill/passwords.With this change, what is the best way to bulk remove passwords? There doesn't seem to be a button or way to do so with the removal of the above option.
Managing profiles and sync in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
In Microsoft Edge 146 and later, bulk deletion of saved passwords via Clear browsing data is no longer available. Passwords must now be managed from the password manager UI instead of being cleared as a browsing data type.
The supported way to remove passwords is:
edge://settings/autofill/passwords (or Settings and more > Settings > Profiles > Passwords). For environments managed by policy, administrators can also use the DeletingUndecryptablePasswordsEnabled policy, but this only affects undecryptable passwords and is intended to restore password manager functionality, not as a general bulk-delete mechanism. Enabling it may cause permanent loss of any undecryptable passwords and cannot be overridden by users.
There is no replacement bulk “delete all passwords” control exposed in the Clear browsing data UI after this change.
