To download and install the current Microsoft Teams app on a computer, use one of these supported methods:

Option 1 – Download Teams (work/school or personal) from the official download page

1. In a browser, go to https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads.
2. Choose the desktop app for Windows or Mac.
3. Download the installer and run it.
4. After installation, open Teams and sign in with a work, school, or personal Microsoft account.

On Windows 10 S, open Microsoft Store and download Teams from there.

Option 2 – Install Teams as part of Microsoft 365 desktop apps If a Microsoft 365 subscription is available and the full desktop apps are not yet installed:

1. Go to www.microsoft365.com and sign in with the Microsoft 365 account.
2. On the Microsoft 365 home page, in the upper-right corner select Install and more > Install Microsoft 365 apps.
3. Select Install Office to download OfficeSetup.exe.
4. Run OfficeSetup.exe and follow the prompts to install the desktop apps, including Teams.
5. When installation completes, search for “Teams” from the Windows taskbar and open it.

Option 3 – Download Microsoft Teams Free / Teams for personal and small business use If Teams is needed for personal or small business use without an existing Microsoft 365 subscription:

1. In a browser, go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/teams-for-home.
2. Select Download the free app.
3. Choose the Windows installer (for example, “Download the free Microsoft Teams app for Windows 11”) and install it.
4. Sign in with a personal Microsoft account (or create one during sign-up).

Teams is also available as a mobile app for iPhone and Android from the same download page (https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads).
