Are you using a personal Microsoft account (like Outlook/Hotmail), or is this for Microsoft 365 Business?

Phone support is usually available for Microsoft 365 Business accounts. For personal Microsoft accounts, support is typically handled through live chat online or via the Get Help app rather than a direct hotline number.

To speak with someone by phone about Microsoft Teams, use Microsoft’s customer service phone numbers for your country or region.

1. Go to the Customer service phone numbers page.
2. Find the number for the appropriate region and product (for example, Office 365 for business / Microsoft 365).
3. Call the listed number and follow the voice prompts to reach support.

If the issue is that a Teams meeting should call a phone so participants can talk by phone (audio conferencing), use the “Call me” option from within Teams instead:

1. In Teams, select Calendar.
2. Select the meeting and choose Join.
3. On the pre-join screen, select more join options.
4. Select Call me.
5. Enter the phone number to be called and select Call me.
6. Answer the call and say “OK” or press 1 to join the meeting.

During an ongoing meeting, to call someone’s phone into the meeting:

1. Select People in the meeting controls.
2. In Invite someone or dial a number, enter the phone number.
3. Select Add phone.
4. The person answers and says “OK” or presses 1 to join.
