Hello, I am having this error populate, and I do not know what is causing it. I have not experienced this error before, and it pops when I open Edge, but I am not sure if that is causing it or if there is another program that causes this and I am just getting a coincidence that I happen to open edge when it finishes and gives the error. I have tried several troubleshooting steps; I do not have office 365 installed, which I found is the most common issue, and livemail opens just fine in the app and online. I signed in when installing windows, and have not been denied signing in to any app. So I am at a loss; though I suppose I could just ignore it and keep closing it anytime it pops, but I'd rather just fix whatever is causing this and move on. Thank you, best wishes. Edit: There is an update, I believe it is affecting my mail. I still have live mail, now reverted back to outlook, and I believe it is affecting my mail; I have not been recieving any security emails from my bank or other apps when I try to sign in online. Not a single one is getting through, and I have looked through all email option to try to correct this. Nothing is working.

The error code [7q6ca] is not documented in the provided material, but the behavior described (error dialog appearing when Microsoft Edge opens, no Office 365 installed, sign-in otherwise working) points to a problem with a local app/component rather than account access.

From the available guidance, the most relevant supported actions are:

    1. Repair or reset Microsoft Edge
      • Open Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
      • Locate Microsoft Edge.
      • Select Advanced options.
      • First choose Repair and test.
      • If the issue persists, repeat and choose Reset (this can clear local data such as cookies and some settings).
    2. Reinstall Microsoft Edge on top of the existing installation
      • Using another working browser, download the Microsoft Edge installer from the official Microsoft Edge download page.
      • Run the installer to reinstall Edge over the current copy. This keeps Windows intact and can repair damaged Edge binaries or update components that are failing at startup.
    3. Check for Windows and Edge updates
      • Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates and install any pending updates.
      • In Edge (if it opens long enough), go to edge://settings/help to trigger an update check.

If the error continues after repairing/resetting Edge and applying Windows updates, capture the exact text of the error dialog and contact Microsoft support, as the code [7q6ca] is not covered in the referenced documentation and may require log analysis.
