Viva Glint

In Viva Glint reporting:

1. Insufficient data
   • Means the group does not meet the minimum confidentiality threshold, so scores or response rates are not shown.
   • This is controlled by the Rated Confidentiality Threshold (for scores/response counts) and the Response Rate Threshold (for response rates).
   • By default, Viva Glint requires at least 5 responses in a group to show:
     • Item scores and response counts (Rated Confidentiality Threshold = 5)
     • Response rates (Response Rate Threshold = 5)
   • If a team has fewer than 5 respondents, it is marked as Insufficient, and its scores/response rates are hidden.
2. Suppressed data
   • Means the group does meet the minimum threshold (for example, 5+ responses) but is hidden anyway to protect the confidentiality of another smaller group.
   • This is controlled by the Suppression Threshold.
   • By default, Viva Glint’s Suppression Threshold is 2. If a very small group (below the confidentiality threshold) exists, the next smallest qualifying group can be suppressed so that simple math cannot be used to infer the small group’s results.
   • Example: If one team has 1 respondent (insufficient) and another has 5 respondents, the 5‑person team’s score may be suppressed so the 1‑person team’s score cannot be deduced.
3. Numbers needed to show participation and insights
   • Scores and response counts (engagement insights):
     • Need at least 5 responses in the group (Rated Confidentiality Threshold = 5).
   • Response rates (participation):
     • Need at least 5 responses in the group (Response Rate Threshold = 5).
   • Comments (open‑ended feedback):
     • To show comments for a group, Viva Glint’s default Comments Confidentiality Threshold is 10 responses (not 10 comments).
   • Comment search / topic filters:
     • To search or filter comments by topic or other filters, the Comments Search Threshold is 10 responses by default.

These thresholds can be changed by Viva Glint admins, but the defaults are:

• 5 responses for scores and response rates
• 10 responses for comments and comment search
• 2 for suppression behavior
