We have a multi-tenant organisation.

Company A will be the hub for Viva Engage.
Company B will be the hub for Sharepoint Communications sites.

How can I embed Viva Engage feeds through the webpart in Sharepoint? (ie All Company, and a specific community on a News site)

    Hi @Fox, William

Thank you for reaching out to the Q&A Forum.

Based on the information you shared, I understand that you are operating in a multi-tenant organization, where:

    • Company A will act as the hub for Viva Engage
    • Company B will act as the hub for SharePoint Communication sites

You would like to embed Viva Engage feeds into SharePoint sites using the web part.

After researching this scenario, embedding Viva Engage feeds across tenants requires that the two tenants be properly connected through:

    1. Multi-Tenant Organization (MTO) configuration
    2. Cross-tenant access settings in Microsoft Entra ID
    3. (If needed) Cross-tenant synchronization

Without proper cross-tenant trust, SharePoint in Tenant B will not be able to surface Viva Engage content hosted in Tenant A.

1.Establish Cross-Tenant Trust: Configure cross-tenant access in Microsoft Entra ID between Tenant A and Tenant B:

    • Set up B2B collaboration/direct connect
    • Ensure bidirectional trust where required
    • Confirm authentication policies allow access

This trust relationship is essential to enable users from one tenant to access resources in the other seamlessly.

2.Establish full trust between tenant A and tenant B Cross-tenant access overview - Microsoft Entra External ID | Microsoft Learn. This trust relationship is essential for enabling seamless user experiences across environments.

3.Use Entra ID Cross-Tenant synchronization to automatically provision user from tenant A to tenant B Cross-tenant access overview - Microsoft Entra External ID | Microsoft Learn  Ensure that users from Tenant A are visible in Tenant B’s Entra ID directory. This confirms that synchronization is working and that users can be treated as internal members.  Once full trust is established and MTO is configured, users from tenant A can be added to communities in Tenant B.

4.To add community members or add member with a CSV file, please follow the guidance in this article Manage a community in Viva Engage - Microsoft Support

If everything is configured correctly, the feed from Tenant A should render inside SharePoint in Tenant B.

    Besides that, please make sure:

    • Both tenants must meet Viva Engage licensing requirements.
    • The hub-and-spoke multi-tenant model must be properly configured.
    • Users must be recognized as members (not just external viewers).
    • Conditional Access policies must not block cross-tenant authentication.
    • Community visibility settings must allow members to view content.

To gain deeper insights into configuring Viva Engage, I recommend you start a new thread in Microsoft Viva Community for more accurate guidance from experts in that area.

    I hope this helps.
