Steps taken:

I have updated Windows to the latest version.

I have performed a clean Reinstall of Windows, but the problem persists.

There is plenty of disk space available.

Hello Angga Wahyudi, thanks for posting this in the community.

Are you using multiple monitors or any screen projection mode like Duplicate or Extend? Because these settings can interrupt screen recording in Snipping Tool. It is also important to make sure the Snipping Tool app is fully updated from the Microsoft Store, as recent updates include fixes for recording problems described in the Recording Stopped error in Snipping Tool in Windows 11 article.

    Kind regards,

    John Oli

The issue you are experiencing with the Snipping Tool screen recording stopping automatically after 30 seconds may be related to the settings or limitations within the Snipping Tool itself. Here are a few things to consider:

    1. Screen Recording Limitations: The Snipping Tool may have inherent limitations on the duration of recordings. If the recording stops after 30 seconds, it could be a built-in feature of the tool.
    2. Settings Check: Ensure that the settings for screen recording in the Snipping Tool are configured correctly. If there are options related to recording duration, make sure they are set appropriately.
    3. Group Policy Settings: If you are using a managed device, check if there are any Group Policy settings that might be limiting the functionality of the Snipping Tool. Specifically, the AllowScreenRecorder policy can control whether screen recording is enabled or restricted.
    4. Updates and Compatibility: Since you mentioned that you have updated Windows, ensure that the Snipping Tool is also updated to the latest version compatible with your Windows installation.
    5. Alternative Tools: If the problem persists and significantly affects your productivity, consider using alternative screen recording software that may offer more flexibility and features than the Snipping Tool.

If none of these suggestions resolve the issue, it may be beneficial to report the bug through the Feedback Hub in Windows, as this could help Microsoft address the problem in future updates.
