I was contacted via text & then Teams from with what turned out to be a fraudulent job offer. They asked me basic info and went as far as emailing me a check that I was supposed to deposit in my checking used mobile banking app. I was supposed to use the funds to purchase "working" materials. It didn't "feel" right, from the way certain sentences were phrased to the fact that I was supposedly chatting with COO T 6:00 pm on Friday night. I contacted the company to verify and was told it was almost certainly fraudulent. Who do I report this to?

Do you still have the chat record with them in Teams? If so, go to the chat, hover your mouse over the other user, then click on three dots and use the Report concern option to report it. On the next page, you can choose "fraud or spam", and then include a description. Then click Send.

The same thing happened to me. I came on here to see how I can report them. They stopped communicating with me after I refused to give them the name of my bank for them to email me a check for “working materials” incase the computer and printer they send me don’t get delivered. I can purchase my own with that money. Def a scam!
