Hi. I'm Brian and I'll try to help.

Consumer Skype is no longer available as of May 5, 2025. Business Skype should still be available. Which are you using? See https://support.microsoft.com/skype/2a7d2501-427f-485e-8be0-2068a9f90472

To verify your new Skype account number, follow these steps:

    1. Check Your Phone Number: Ensure that the mobile number you are trying to verify is entered correctly, including the country code.
    2. Wait for the Verification Code: After you click verify, you should receive a verification code via SMS. If you do not receive it, make sure your phone can receive messages from international numbers.
    3. Resend the Verification Code: If the initial attempt fails, try resending the verification code. Sometimes, it may take a few minutes to arrive.
    4. Clear Browser Cache: If you are using a web browser, clearing the cache and cookies might help resolve any issues with the verification process.
    5. Try a Different Browser or Device: If the problem persists, try using a different browser or device to see if that resolves the issue.
    6. Contact Skype Support: If none of the above steps work, consider reaching out to Skype support for further assistance.

Make sure that your account is set up correctly and that there are no issues with your mobile carrier that could be preventing the verification code from being received.
