In the web powerpoint I have made a presentation. This presentation uses SVGs (These are scaling weirdly but were used since other kinds of images would pixelate)

In editor view (It is all fine):

    Hello @Leah

    Welcome to Q&A forum!

    As I have reviewed, many users also report that while SVG images display correctly in Editing mode, they become distorted (usually vertically compressed) when switching to Presentation Mode.

    I found that many other users also have the same concern when using PowerPoint, as this is a very common and essential app. Therefore, it would be really valuable if you could visit the Feedback community to find similar feedback and vote for it, or create your own feedback in the Microsoft Feedback portal : Ideas · Community

    Our product team is in charge of the site, and they constantly check customer reviews and feedback. The higher the votes, the more attention the related team will pay. A lot of the features are developed and improved based on customer feedback.

    If you have created your feedback, please "share the link" in this thread so we will vote it to help this feedback gain more attentions.

    Besides, I’d also like to share some workarounds contributed by other users

    1. Present using PowerPoint Desktop instead of Web

    The distortion only occurs in the web viewer; the Desktop app displays SVGs correctly. If possible, download the file and present locally.

    2. Convert SVG -> EMF/WMF (Windows-only, preserves vector quality)

    If you want to keep vector scalability and avoid bugs, you can:

    • Open SVG in online converter tool
    • Export as "EMF"
    • Insert EMF into PowerPoint (Desktop or Web)

    PowerPoint tends to handle EMF more reliably than raw SVG.

    Thank you for your patience and kindness in this matter.
