Hi There, my files on teams are expired.I didn't know that there is certain time for them to be downloaded.Is there any chance I could have an access to them again?They containe very important information for me from one of my courses.Looking forward hearing from you .regards Magda

Hello !
Just to confirm, what type of Teams account are you using ? A personal account (with your Microsoft account) or a work account (provided by your company/school) ?
Typically, expired files in Teams (same for OneDrive and SharePoint) cannot be recovered once they have expired.
If you can, you'll have to ask the sender to send the file again.

Hi There,the person that sent me files has cancelled them on her computer already.There were videos made just for me.I am using personal teams account.Why there is no info on teams account that files have to be downloaded immediately?Can you please check if they definitely cannot be recovered. Is the sender using a work account ?
If your sender is using a work account, these retention policies are set up by the IT department, and cannot be overriden.
When using a personal account, files are not supposed to expire. Please check if your sender hasn't put the files in the trash inadvertently.
