Hello,

Could I get the list of Project Management related applications that are accessible via WEB. I have access to an online project management related tool called MS Planner. However this is not suitable to my needs. It lacks the most basic functionality to be able to sequence a group of tasks by organizing them as Tasks and Sub tasks.

Could you please list me the various versions of project management tool a user can access via WEB.

Regards,

Ramesh

Microsoft offers several web-based project management tools that you can access. Here are the main ones:

    1. Microsoft Planner - A task management tool that allows users to create and manage tasks and plans. However, it may not have advanced features like task sequencing with subtasks.
    2. Project for the web - This is a newer service that provides more robust project management capabilities compared to Planner. It allows for planning and managing work of any size and includes features like task dependencies and timelines.
    3. Project Online - This is a more comprehensive project management solution that integrates with other Microsoft services. It offers advanced features for managing large projects and portfolios.
    4. Project Online Desktop Client - While primarily a desktop application, it can connect to Project Online for web-based management.

These tools are available through various Microsoft 365 subscriptions, and the choice depends on your specific project management needs.

    Dear @Ramesh Errabolu

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

As the MVP shared, currently, Microsoft's Project Management Tools on the web are Planner and Project.

Project includes Project for the web and Project Online. Project Online, sometimes referred to as Project Web App (PWA) in the product, will officially retire on September 30, 2026. And Microsoft Project for the web is CONVERGING (Merging into Planner). You can continue using most of the Project for the web capabilities in Microsoft Planner once it's rolled out to your organization.

Microsoft Project Online is retiring: What you need to know | Microsoft Community Hub

Microsoft Project for the web service description - Service Descriptions | Microsoft Learn

If you only need the Task/Subtask Hierarchy feature on the web, the Planner Plan 1 package (formerly Project Plan 1) is sufficient and is considered the starting point for the Planner Premium web experience.

I hope the above information is clear. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I'm ready to help!

    Looking forward to your reply!
