Thanks for sharing this, Donald! Try to use the email app’s attachment history
Many email apps keep their own attachment cache, even after you “save” a file.
Outlook (desktop)
- Open Outlook
- Open the email again
- Right-click the attachment
- Choose Save As
- Manually pick Desktop and save again
If it saves successfully now, the original save silently failed or went to a hidden cache.
