Work-From-Home Setup.

I have two monitors for my work-from-home job, which starts on December 15th. I have already done some Orientation meetings for this job.

I have my left monitor already connected to my work computer's CPU box.

Earlier this morning, I connected my right monitor to the CPU box using an HDMI-to-DisplayPort adapter. When I turned on the CPU box, the right monitor showed the usual Windows login screen. I moved my cursor to the left to see if it appeared on the blank left monitor screen, and it did. I am wondering if both monitors are connected, because I need to use them for my job. Let me know if everything is okay. Thank you.

It sounds like both of your monitors are connected properly. Since you were able to move your cursor from the right monitor to the left monitor, this indicates that both monitors are recognized by your system and are functioning as part of a multi-monitor setup. You can also check your display settings in Windows to confirm that both monitors are detected and configured correctly.

To do this, right-click on the desktop and select Display settings. Here, you should see both monitors represented, and you can adjust their arrangement and settings as needed for your work-from-home job.

If you experience any issues or if one of the monitors does not appear in the display settings, you may want to check the connections or try restarting your computer.

Press the Windows Key + P to open the Projection Panel, in there, is that set to the Extend mode?

If so, open any app, are you able to drag the app from one monitor to the other monitor?

If so, then your system is set up correctly for dual monitor mode.
